GIRLS Club
This January was the second year that the majority of the girls came back to join us in a week of craft, adventures and expanding their friendships. We had some new additions to the Girls club in 2021 who all joined in in each activity, supported each other and fostered their growing friendships.
This year was all about simulating activities and games that occur during friends' visits or having sleepovers. The girls loved taking photos and sharing them with each other during the week. At the end of the week they shared their favourite photos and scrapbooked their adventures!
The girls' ability to communicate with each other, share their sense of humour and collaboratively playing games, like Cards Against Family and Sleeping Queens made for a fun and productive environment.
The biggest challenge of the week was slacklining. The girls had to balance on a slack line from one side to another. It was a great example of how the girls supported one another as they made their way through different challenges that arose during the week.
The biggest highlight personally for me has been continuing to watch friendships strengthen and witnessing the shared stories and experiences. By the end of the week our girls ‘nails were on point’, their bracelets and necklaces were ‘on trend’ and they left taking home a scrapbook of treasures to remember their wonderful week together. We cannot wait to do it all again soon!
