PALS Club: Kindergarten to Year 2.

In the January school holidays our youngest PALS club (consisting of kids in kindergarten to year 2), participated in a program supporting their development of non-verbal and verbal social skills.

We ran a series of team building exercises which involved utilising a range of skills such as taking turns, sharing and encouraging friends to continue to engage in the activity at hand. Our PALS Club members especially loved the bucking bull, parameter ball passing game and frenzy!

Over the course of the week we expanded our team skills and created group plans where we needed to communicate and negotiate with our friends in order to be flexible with our ideas. It was a great week where many friendships blossomed, emotions were effectively brought to the forefront and worked through and most of all, all our group members expanded on their social communication and conversation skills – leading to transference after their group session.
